The Sunday Funnies
This afternoon, my sister and her family came over for dinner and to play our all time favorite card game--The Great Dalmuty.
My brother-in-law, Robeño is a huge tease, and at one point was doing the old--what's on your shirt trick.
You know the game--where you point to their shirt and say, "What's on your shirt?", and when they look down you bring your finger up and flip their chin or nose or whatever.
Well, Uncle Robeño caught Savvy looking down so many times--that she decided to deliver a little retribution.
{Of course, when you are the supreme teaser--you generally don't fall for others' attempts at teasing.}
Savvy just wouldn't give up. She tried that trick many times, yet always failed to catch her Uncle looking down.
As they were leaving, I noticed Savvy chasing Uncle Robeño around the family room. It had been going on for so long that I couldn't remember why she was even chasing him.
"Savvy, what are you doing?" I asked.
"I'm trying to flip off Uncle Robiño--cause he's been flipping me off all night," she answered.
And that's how we keep the Sabbath day holy at our house.

The Sunday Funnies
Last week, on American Idol, Kelly Clarkston sang her new song, "My Life Would Suck Without You."
I was cleaning the kitchen, so I missed the performance.
But, when the song ended, Savvy came upstairs and said, "Mom. You know that song "My Life Would Suck Without You?"
"Yes," I said.
"Well, I was just thinking how my life really would suck without you," she continued. "I mean, without you I'd probably be a hobo living on the
side of the road."
{Isn't it wonderful how American Idol strives to instill such inspiring family values into our children? It really does take a village.}

The Sunday Funnies
Yesterday, we were able to go to the Draper Temple open house with my in-laws.It was quite busy...and as a result we stood in a significant line as we moved slowly through the temple.
This was actually a good thing because it gave us time to check out every nook and cranny...even the men's and women's dressing rooms.
As we stood in line in a big corridor, Savvy practiced balancing on one foot.
Now, Savvy on two feet doesn't always have the best balance--so I knew this could be potentially troublesome. I told her not to do it anymore.
Naturally, she continued to do her balancing as we waited.
Finally, we started to move down the hall. At that point, Savvy lost her balance and fell towards a shut door--labeled "Custodial Closet".
To save herself from hitting the floor, she grabbed onto the door handle--and opened the door. Luckily, Auzy grabbed her by her shirt before she fell inside the closet.
We heard a quiet beeping sound which {we found out moments later when security came rushing down our hall} happened to be a silent alarm for intruders.
Oopsie.

Team Skinny Update

All right ladies, I have finally sent out the evite for the Team Skinny blog.
Dontcha think that March is a fantastic month to start your New Year's Resolutions? With spring-like weather--there is really no excuse to not be exercising outside.Unless you woke up to an inch or two of snow this morning--like I did--but luckily I've got my spin bike to hold me through till it really is Spring--like maybe in June?
If you didn't get an invite and you are wanting to be a part of the resoluting skinnies--leave me a comment and I'll get you added on.
{Katie H. and Kelly B--I did not have your emails--so leave a comment with it and I will take care of bidness.}
